Skills

1. Communications skills, Communication skills and connections are a great key to success. You have to know people and make a name for yourself, and the best way to do this is to communicate.  2. Time management skills, in high school time management was never really a problem due to having the same exact schedule all year long and being able to come home without homework to do. But time management is very important in college and in the real world. 3. Better teamwork skills, I am a great team worker but would like to see improvement considering just about any career or occupation requires some sort of team work even if you don't like the person. 4. Leadership skills, I was a great leader all throughout high school and would love for this to transfer with me as one day people may seek me as their leader and I will have to be able to hold that title. 5. Great work ethic, Work ethic goes a long way in the real world. Sometimes its not even about being the best at what you are doing, ...

College Transition

One myth about the transition into college is that it requires more study time. In high school I felt that college was going to be awful when it came to having to study more and be losing sleep because of doing so, but I personally have not had to change my study habits that much.     Another myth would be that it is more free roam, which it has been a little more free but with covid going on it has still kind of been confined. You are not really able to just roam around campus or go visit friends in their dorms if you are a commuter.      The last myth to be pointed out is that college is more stressful. I have not found college to be much more stressful than high school was. I still show up to classes, take notes and complete assignments. The assignments may be more complex, and require more work, but it is no different than adding all the littler assignments together that we would receive in high school.
